When you use PetCool, we may collect: • Account information: email address, display name, and profile photo. • Pet information: pet name, species, breed, date of birth, gender, avatar, and attribute data you provide. • Content you create: photos, videos, captions, comments, and likes. • Location data: your approximate location when you use the Mark Your Park feature (only with your permission). • Usage data: how you interact with the app, including features used, challenges completed, and medals earned. • Device data: device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: • Provide and improve the PetCool experience. • Display your pet profiles, posts, and achievements to other users. • Track your progress in challenges, quizzes, and learning modules. • Show nearby parks and territories on the map. • Send notifications about likes, comments, medals, and territory updates (if enabled). • Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. What We Share

Your pet profiles, posts, and achievements are visible to other PetCool users by default. You can control visibility in Settings. We may share data with: • Service providers that help us run PetCool (hosting, storage, analytics). • Law enforcement if required by law or to protect safety. We do not share your data with advertisers.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for database and file storage, with row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Photos and media are stored in secure cloud storage buckets. We retain your data as long as your account is active.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to: • Access your data: View all your information in the app. • Correct your data: Update your profile and pet information anytime. • Delete your data: Delete your account in Settings. This permanently removes all your data, pets, posts, and progress. • Withdraw consent: Disable location access or notifications at any time in your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

PetCool is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Your continued use of PetCool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
